Dr. Zehr has over 20 years of experience in primary hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery, complex revision joint surgery, shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopy and skeletal tumor and trauma reconstruction. He has mastered minimally invasive surgical techniques of both the hip and knee and is Southwest Florida's most experienced surgeon in the direct anterior approach to hip replacement.
His professional education in orthopaedic surgery extends from his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation to the fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the world renowned Shands Hospital of the Univ. of Florida. He started his professional career with the Cleveland Clnic as the Head of the section of Orthopaedic Oncology and then moved to Naples, FL where he oversaw the development, growth and subsequent conclusion of the Cleveland Clinic Naples experiment as well as developing a much sought after joint replacement practice in this region of SW Florida.
Although most of Dr. Zehr's career has been in the arena of academic medicine where research and teaching are so highly valued, he has been equally gratified to have created such a well respected private practice where patients come from all over the U.S., as well as, Europe, Central and South America for opinion and treatment.
